The Last of Valentine's Week

Cardigan: Kate Spade
Dress: Kate Spade
Tights: HUE
Shoes: Vera Wang

I've been meaning to get this post up for the last week, but time just slipped away from me! As I mentioned in my last couple of posts, in the week leading up until Valentine's Day, I was getting in the spirit by wearing as much pink, red, and white as possible. The Friday before the holiday, this is what I decided to wear.

Although it's a little bit darker in theme than my other outfits from this week, I just love the print and the shape of this dress. It fits me so well! However, as anyone living on the east coast knows, this past week was freezing, so I bundled up as best I could with thick tights and a coordinating cardigan.

Walking Valentine

Shirt: Victoria's Secret
Scarf: Kate Spade
Pants: Trina Turk
Shoes: Coach

In continuing with wearing as much pink, red, and white as possible in preparation for Valentine's Day this Saturday, here's what I wore on Wednesday. Just putting this outfit on that morning, I felt so peppy and cheerful! I think it's hard not to when you're wearing this much color.

As I walked around the office, I kept getting comments that I looked like a Valentine, which was pretty much exactly the goal. I don't know if they were all compliments, but I don't really care. I love color and I'm not afraid to show it! I'm definitely going to be wearing this outfit again.

Valentine's Week Wear

Sweater: Tommy Bahama
Camisole: Calvin Klein
Skirt: eshatki
Shoes: Tory Burch

I LOVE Valentine's Day. I love sending out cards to my closest friends, eating candy hearts, and having an excuse to wear pink and red all week long without my coworkers making too many comments about it. So this week, that's exactly what I've been doing. My goal is to look like a walking Valentine in the best way possible, if you know what I mean.

I started with this high-waisted red skirt that has tiny red hearts all over it. It's so freaking cute! It also has pockets, which who doesn't love those. It was pretty chilly on Monday when I wore this originally, so I decided to pair my skirt with this cream sequins sweater. I know it's kind of hard to see in my photos, but the whole chest is covered in white sequins and it's very pretty. Stay tuned some of my other Valentine's week outfits!

Dressed for the Theater

Dress: Kate Spade
Belt: Target
Tights: HUE
Shoes: Vera Wang

Ah, the weekend. Best celebrated by going home-home (and by that, I mean to my parents house), and doing absolutely nothing. On this particular weekend, I headed home to see Godspell with my mom at a local theater, and enjoy a little rest and relaxation.

When I get dressed for an average Friday at work, I tend to follow a really casual route. Of the whole week, Friday always ends up being the craziest, and I just don't have time to think about what I'm going to wear or look cute. However, knowing that I was going straight from work to the show, I put a little extra effort into my outfit. I started with this floral print dress, than gave it a little more shape with a skinny belt around my waist. Normally, I'd probably wear this with bare legs, but it was just too cold! So, tights it was.

Wedding Errands

Shirt: Lauren Ralph Lauren
Dress: Calvin Klein
Necklace: Erickson Beamon for Target
Shoes: Tory Burch

Pictures taken during the light of day? Yes, try not to go blind, but I was able to take some pictures in morning light! Normally, when I take outfit photos before going to work, it's six o'clock in the morning, and the lighting is just horrible and too dark. For once though, I got dressed for a weekend of wedding errands in Frederick!

My wedding is rapidly approaching, and we're starting to spend a lot more time finalizing details for the big day. This weekend, we went for a cupcake tasting, where we got to taste four (!) different flavors that will be served at our wedding. Then, after taking a break to do a little shopping and catch a movie, we went for dinner at a restaurant where we are considering having our rehearsal dinner. It was a really fun day, and it makes me that much more excited for my wedding to get here soon!

Jeweled Sweater

Sweater: Ted Baker
Shirt: Delia*s Warehouse Sale
Pants: J. Crew
Shoes: Tory Burch
Earrings: Juicy Couture

I love sweaters. Sweaters worn over dresses when it's cold, sweaters with jeans when I'm too lazy to think of a cute outfit, and sweaters with sparkles and sequins when I want to look fancy, but feel cozy. Yea, sweaters are pretty fabulous.

While on my annual birthday shopping trip with my mom last year, I found this fabulous jewel-lined cream sweater at Bloomingdales and just fell in love. It's soft, sparkly, and isn't too heavy to be layered with a button up underneath.

I had another morning where I felt like looking pulled-together, so I decided to take this sweater and go for a classic preppy ensemble. This worn-in denim button up works perfect under just about anything to add that touch, and my minnie pants are a necessity in the winter. I kept the rest pretty simple with some plain stud earrings, and my favorite ballet flats.
